Happy Hoppy Easter!

Happy Easter to you all out there! The past couple of weeks here have been FULL of Easter bunny visits, peeping chicks, glittery eggs, grass filled baskets and way too much sugar!
And 1 new tractor of course! Everyone knows Ed loves tractors, even the Easter bunny! :)))
As expected Ed was wide awake at the crack of dawn and soon after we were trudging around the house looking for those magical mysterious eggs! All eggs found, his basket overflowing with stickers, toys and candy...more candy... Ed proceeded to feed us all a wonderful blue jellybean breakfast! Yippee! There is absolutely NO WAY you can resist or attempt to turn down this face, even at 6am when the thought of a jellybean for breakfast turns your stomach! :)

Then it was out the door to a family service at church. An entire hour of be on your best behavior/quiet time wasn't exactly what Ed wanted to leave his basket behind for, but boy did he look handsome doing it!!
(and yes, there was a haircut from Dad in between!)
Followed by coffee, donuts and the newspaper.  :)))

And of course let us not forget the CRAFTS! What holiday wouldn't be complete without sufficient decoration!? Not only decoration, but with Eds young age, these creations serve as an excellent way to introduce the holidays and amp up the hype!!

Eds favorite this year:
An Easter bunny paper bag puppet along with carrots to snack on!
Not only did this satisfy his creative side, but what pride and excitement to play with your own creation! And a wonderful opportunity to talk about vegetables and were they come from along with some simple color matching.

Also a chance for Ed to BE the Easter bunny :)
With a bunny ears head band! ...And practice his hopping!

More bunnies.
A child's hand traced while holding up 2 fingers to make "peace" resembles a bunny...with a little love! :)

Aaaaaaand yet another bunny!
With a paper plate as the base a bunny face was created by gluing the correct facial features in the correct positions. Top, bottom, upper, lower, on top, below, above were all discussed.

I caught the Easter bunny fever too and just had to get in on the crafting myself!
Ed so loving has named him Bunnyshoes :)

Lets not forget the chicks!
Ed decided that EVERYTHING had to be yellow! Chick, legs, beak and googly eyes!! We also practiced or "peep peep peeping" and talked about our many trips to the farm and what all the different baby animals are called.
BTW: Eds little hands made perfect little chick wings ;)

And of course, what Easter would not be complete without eggs! Shiny, glittering, messy Easter eggs.

A fantastic sensory experience with finger painting and sticky, glittery, mushy paint.

And another one of Eds favorites, PRINTS!
Plastic Easter eggs pulled apart make the perfect circle stamp!!

We hope you all had as much fun with Easter as we did this year!!
