I know, I know! Not the most beautiful picture. But, it is 1 of a kind! This is what you get when you attempt to take a picture of a big, beautiful sleeping lion on the other side of a flimsy, little, shaky chain-link fence ... Guess what, he wasnt sleeping. Guess what else, he scarred the crap out of Mumma!
Know where you can find lions, tigers, bears, jaguars, lynx, a hyena, oxen, camels, kangaroos, monkeys and yes pigs, sheep, llamas, ducks, aaaaand zebras?? MAINE. Dew Animal Kingdom, Mt Vernon Maine to be exact.
Set in the woods in beautifully, rustically kept habitats children (and parents) get an up front, interactive view of animals from all around the world. So go ahead! Feed a black bear, pat a reindeer, chase a peacock down the lane, make funny faces with the camels, pace back and forth with the lynx and watch one of the many interactions between animal and "keeper" (including in the tiger cage)! Just make sure you bring your nerves! ;)
